Broomley for Schools and Youth Groups
Broomley Grange is regularly visited by more than 30 schools and colleges from all over the United Kingdom along with a large number of youth groups and other volunatry organisations.
Licesensed by the Adventure Activities Licencing Authority (A.A.L.A. Licence ref. L6633/RO228) and approved by a number of local and national education services, Broomley is an ideal venue for a day visit or residential experience in the beautiful Tyne Valley.
With 22 acres of private, formal and informal land to explore it is an ideal setting for Team Building Exercises, Problem Solving, Challenging Activities and Initiative games.
As Hadrian's Wall is less than 1 hours drive from Broomley and the important Roman supply town of Corbridge just 15 minutes away, many schools have chosen Broomley as their 'home' whilst they study the Roman Empire's northernmost frontier.
We specialise in residential groups of up to 50 young people with 10 leaders. All bedrooms are fully carpeted with full bedding, central heating and wash basins in all but one room (it is though adjacent to a shower room).
Please see our Accommodation Page under About Broomley for further details of our rooms.
We offer a very wide range of programmes for youth groups and will always try to adapt to your individual needs. Whilst we welcome visits from special needs groups, our activity facilities and dormitory accommodation are unsuitable for wheelchair users.
In addition to providing a base for residential holidays for primary and secondary schools, uniformed youth organisations and youth clubs, we can tailor our programmes to provide courses in such areas as:
- Study of the Roman Wall and surrounding area
- Confidence and team building activities for 7s-11s
- GCSE asssessment (including Rock Climbing)
- Revision Weekends
- Learning Mentor/Mentee Residentials
- Youth Development
- Gifted and Talented Programmes
- Widening Participation & Aim Higher Activities
- 6th Form Study
